Calling all Ninja Warriors! Do you have what it takes to conquer a Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course and the Warped Wall? Then test your skills during Canton’s 26th Annual Liberty Fest, when festival-goers will have the opportunity to see if they have what it takes to call themselves a Ninja Warrior.
On Friday, June 16 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., youth Ninjas in training (ages 5 to 14 year old) will be able to see how far they can get on two 100 foot-long youth obstacle courses that will include: Quintuple Steps, Cannon Ball Alley, Rock Balance Obstacles, Swing Ropes, Cargo Nets, Warped Walls and more!
Adults 18 and over will also be able to test their skills on such fan-favorite obstacles, such as: a 14-foot Warped Wall, where individuals will run and attempt to scale a concave quarter-pipe in an effort to reach the top; Devil Steps, which consist of an upside-down staircase that is traversed by hand; and the Salmon Ladder, where each Ninja Warrior propels his or her body up the ladder by hopping a bar up to the next rung with enough energy and force to keep moving up the ladder.
“We’re excited to bring this special Ninja Warrior experience to Canton Liberty Fest,” said Recreation Specialist Laura Mortier. “There are so many fans of this type of competition and now they’ll be able to take on these challenges and see how they will do on some of the show’s most popular obstacles.”
Obstacle Consultants has constructed a series of challenges for interested festival-goers to tear it up on the obstacle course and take a turn on the warped wall, as well as other Ninja challenges.
Competitors from NBC’s American Ninja Warrior will also be onsite on Saturday, June 17, for autographs and will also perform demonstrations for those taking a turn on the apparatuses. Get tips from Wes Whitlam, also known as “Kilt Ninja,” and Andrew Karsen, both successful former competitors who’ve had a great deal of success on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior.
Tickets to test your skills on these Ninja Warrior obstacles are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Adult obstacles require one ticket, while the youth obstacle course requires two tickets.
