Canton Township has seen a drastic increase in the number of voters who choose to vote a mail, absentee ballot. As a result, the number of voters who vote in-person on election day has substantially decreased. The 75,000 registered voters are currently served by 40 precincts. The Clerk's Office has posted a REDISTRICTING AUDITOR position to coordinate a precinct reapportionment that reduces the number of poling places, accommodates new legislative districts, and allows for a migration to a regional vote center model.
The position can be remote, and self-paced, provided the aggressive timeline is met. Individuals should anticipate between $5,000 and $7,000 in compensation.
